Railway Interchange returned to Indianapolis, May 20-22, 2025. Over 4,000 attendees from 43 countries attended North America's largest railway conference and tradeshow. 459 exhibitors showcased their companies, products, and innovations during three days in the exhibit hall

Railway Interchange is presented by REMSA, the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association, representing companies and individuals who manufacture or sell maintenance-of-way equipment, products, and services, or are engineers, contractors and consultants working in construction and/or maintenance of railroad transportation facilities; the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), the largest and only trade association that represents the full supply chain for the railroad system. From the smallest parts manufacturer to the largest railcar builders/lessors, RSI represents and advocates for: Locomotive, Freight, and Passenger Railcar Manufacturers Railcar Owners and Lessors Mechanical Systems and Component Suppliers Railway Measurement & Maintenance Systems Communications and Signaling Suppliers; and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc (RSSI) is a trade association serving the communications, signal, and IT segments of the rail transportation industry.  The member companies of RSSI supply the components, systems and engineering for the communications and signal networks used for the safe movement of trains.

The event was headlined by a keynote presentation, with Mike McClellan, Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer at Norfolk Southern, moterated by Tony Hatch, Analyst/Consultant, ABH Consultant, where they explored the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the rail ecosystem. 

REMSA's hall featured an Innovation Theater, with presentations throughout the event. REMSA recognized the 2025 Innovation Award winners - Orgo-Thermit Inc. - Battery Web Grinder in the Product category, and Railworks' AIVR - Automated Intelligent Video Review in the Technology Category. REMSA exhibitors presented throughout the event on various products and innovations, including safety, AI, maintenance innovations, workforce management, and more. 

Two exhibit hall receptions allowed exhibitors and attendees to network in a more relaxed environment in the exhibit hall. An Indianapolis-500 themed reception featured a Railway Interchange branded Indy car, DJ on a bubble-blowing segway, and fun giveways. 

Railway Interchange has taken place biennally since 2011, and will now take place annually going forward. Railway Interchange 2026, with exhibits presented by REMSA, RSI, and RSSI will take place June 2-4 in Omaha, Nebraska at the CHI Health Center. Returning for the first time since 2019, outdoor exhibits and demonstration opportunities will be available.
