Alan D. Reynolds, REMSA President
President, Modern Track Machinery
Al Reynolds began his career at Woodings-Verona Tool Works,
as a Service Representative in 1980. In 1989 Reynolds accepted a position with Modern Track Machinery in Jacksonville, Florida as an Account Manager covering CSX and Norfolk Southern’s Headquarters along with five states in the southeastern US. In 2003 he was promoted to General Sales Manager at Modern Track Machinery with responsibility for all sales in the US, Puerto Rico, Panama, and later, Mexico. A member of REMSA's Board of Directors since 2008, Reynolds is active industry and is a member and former Supply Chairman for AREMA Committee #27. Mr. Reynolds has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Gannon University in Erie, PA.
Jay Gowan, REMSA Vice President
Sr. Vice President, North American Track, RailWorks
Before moving to Harsco, Jay served as the Vice President of Operations at Roadway Worker Services, a welding contractor. A third generation railroader, Jay Gowan began his career in 1994 with the Ohio Central Railroad as a track laborer. After landing a sales posistion with Atlas Railroad Construction Company, Gowan spent five years with Hartford & Associates, a manufacturing representative company as a Terriotory Sales Manager. Mr. Gowan holds a Bachelor degee in Business from
the University of Cincinnati.
Greg Spilker, REMSA Secretary/Treasurer
Vice President & General Manager, Encore Rail Systems, Inc.
Greg Spilker is currently Vice President and General Manager for Encore Rail Systems, Inc. He began his career in the industry 20 years ago with Nordco and held various capacities including Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Following that, Mr. Spilker was National Sales Manager for Progress Rail Leasing. Mr. Spilker remains active in several rail industry and trade organizations. Greg received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing from Concordia University, Wisconsin.
Trent E. Marshall, REMSA Past President
President, FCM/Progress Rail Leasing, Ltd.
Trent Marshall started his professional career in the Hotel
industry where he spent 10 years in several management
positions with Marriott and Embassy Suites. In 1999, he joined
the railroad industry assuming the role of Marketing Manager at
FCM Rail, Ltd. He was named Vice President of Sales and
Marketing in 2001 and later appointed President of FCM Rail in
2004. Mr. Marshall is active in the railroad industry and is a
founding donor of the Railway Management Program at
Michigan State University. He is also is a graduate and
member of MSU's Curriculum Advisory Council. Mr. Marshall
holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration
from Western Michigan University.
