Thomas Gehr, REMSA Director
President, Equipment Service Co. (ESCO)

Thomas Gehr is the 3rd generation of his family to work in the
railroad industry.  He joined ESCO Equipment Service Co. in
1975 and now serves as company President.  Mr. Gehr has both
leadership and technical expertise that has allowed him to work
a variety of different functions within the rail industry.  He has
served on the Board of Directors for the American Welding
Society (AWS) and is a member of the American Railway
Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA)
Committee 4 and Committee 5.  Mr. Gehr also acts as Director of
the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA).  Thomas Gehr
received his education from Purdue University.


Timothy Francis, REMSA Director
Vice President of Marketing, Herzog Contracting

Timothy Francis started his railroad career in 1998 with Norfolk
Southern where he served in a variety of positions within the
transportation department.  In 2006, he started with the
transportation department of Kansas City Southern and was
promoted to Assistant Division Engineer in 2007.  His work with
Herzog began in 2008 as the Manager of Marketing for Herzog
Contracting before being promoted to his current position, Vice
President of Marketing.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Administration and Marketing from Columbia Southern
University and was awarded the honor of Eagle Scout in 1993. 


Robin Laskowski, REMSA Director
Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer,
Plasser American Corporation

Robin Laskowski joined Plasser American Corp. in 1979 as
a Systems Analyst in the IT Department, moved to the
Accounting Department, was promoted to Accounting
Manager, to Assistant Treasurer, and currently serves as
VP, Secretary-Treasurer. Robin attended Old Dominion
University and majored in Accounting.

 



John Murray, REMSA Director
Vice President, Willamette Valley Company

John Murray has been with WVCO for 34 years and in his
career has been involved with the Wood Products and Railroad
Industry’s. He has held various management positions,
Director of Purchasing, Director of Research and Development,
and President of Idaho Milling and Grain. Currently as V.P, his
oversight includes; The Railroad Division-Polymers, The
Performance Products Division-Polymers, and Precision
Technologies-Metering and Dispensing and a Robotic Integrator.
Mr. Murray holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the
University of Oregon.

George Pugh, REMSA Director
Vice President of Operations, Knox Kershaw, Inc.

For the past 20 years, George has been an employee of Knox
Kershaw, Inc.  His experience in the rail industry began by
working with railroad protection gangs and engineers.  In 2004
he became manufacturing manager and in 2010 was promoted
to his current position as Vice President of Operations.

 


Allen Goff, REMSA Director
Regional Sales Manager, PandrolUSA

Allen Goff has been active in the railroad industry for more than
29 years.  During that time, he has held various sales,
marketing, technical and managerial positions with Modern
Track Machinery, Loram Maintenance of Way, and currently
PandrolUSA.  Mr. Goff has been a member of AREMA since
1992 and joined Committee 5 in 2008 where he currently
serves as the Supply Chairman for the group.  Mr. Goff is
based out of Omaha, NE. 
 

Bradley A. Willems, REMSA Director
Director of Marketing & Business Development,
Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc.

Brad Willems joined Loram in 2012 as Director of Marketing
and Business Development and is responsible for marketing,
product development and Loram's Friction Management
business.  Prior to joining Loram, Brad spent 20 years in food
distribution and retailing where he help leadership positions
in finance, merchandising, strategic sourcing and market
development.  Brad received his Bachelor of Science degree
in Accounting from Saint Cloud State University.


Scott Commo, REMSA Director

President, Industry-Railway Suppliers, Inc.

Scott Commo has been active in the railroad industry for over
16 years. Throughout this time, Scott has held various positions
in sales, marketing and management with Stanley Hydraulic
Tools, the RailwayEquipment Company, and Herzog Railroad
Services. Mr. Commo currently works as President of Industry-
Railway Suppliers, Inc. based out of Bensenville, IL.  Mr. Commo
continues to be active in many industry organizations, including
the Northwest Maintenance of Way Club, the National Railroad 
Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) and serves
on two AREMA Committees. Scott received his Bachelor’s degree
in marketing from Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI in 1997.




 

Nathan C. Bachman 

Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Georgetown Rail Equipment Company

Nathan “Nate” Bachman is the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for
GREX since October 2014.  Prior to that he served as VP of Operations
since January of 2010.  Mr. Bachman joined Georgetown Rail
Equipment Company in 2007 as Market Development Manager and was
promoted to service Planning Director in 2008.  Previously, he was sales
and account executive for Alltel Communications Products and Polycom,
a manufacturer of wireless and conferencing technology, from 1999 to
2007.  Mr. Bachman was employed with Norfolk Southern Railway from
1998 to 1999.  Nate holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations
and a Master’s Degree from Texas A&M in Industrial Distribution.
 




 
Greg Spilker
Vice President & General Manager, Encore Rail Systems, Inc.

Greg Spilker is currently Vice President and General Manager for Encore
Rail Systems, Inc.  He began his career in the industry 20 years ago with
Nordco and held various capacities including Vice President of Sales
and Marketing.  Following that, Mr. Spilker was National Sales Manager
for Progress Rail Leasing.  Mr. Spilker remains active in several rail
industry and trade organizations.  Greg received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Business and Marketing from Concordia University, Wisconsin.
